Can you point me to a particular image and post and I can check the original size in a pre-update offline copy of the forum against the current?
The original images remain untouched, the visible image is a thumbnail that may be downsized if the image resolution is bigger than the thumbnail setting and then a click on image reveals to original. I'm still waiting on a reply from support to get the right module settings on the server to get that to work.
Only external links would allow non-members to see the images, internal links or inline images are only seen by members.
The storage of images on the server isn't a problem, it will grow as needed.
