Sorry boys - normally I'd be a starter but I don't get home from Bris Vegas this week until mid Saturday morning (breaking my normal rule of being back home by 5pm Friday each week - but Xmas celebration time calls)

Might send a mate of mine along, that some of you have met (Costa), who has been quietly looking around for a few months. He's been waiting to sell his MGA before he got serious - which finally happened this week!

I am a definite starter for Sat. morning.

How long do you think I should allow to get to the meeting point from the city? (Remembering that I will only driving an Astra!)

Paying the deposit on our first house today (and exceeded our budget by about the value that I intend to spend on the p-car)... so I could be blind-folded in front of a firing squad by early saturday afternoon if I show too much enthusiasm... oh well, it's only a little more debt right?!

Looking forward to the run like a kid at Christmas!

Fuel for run

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FULL TANK OF FUEL or AT LEAST 3/4 OF A TANK.
The run does not go past any fuel stops, and spirited driving will mean that you will be traveling approx 140kms without fuel.
Fill up in Cranbourne if required.
See you all there, should be fun, lets hope the weather is kind again.

the meeting place (as per the PM I sent you) has a cafe where we can get brekky. or you pass a few Maccas on the way so drop in there if necessary.

I will probably be coming across from Mt Martha where I'm staying the night at friends for dinner so will probably team up with Alex for the run across to the meeting place.

Are you coming alone ?

PS: the roads are indeed fun, not too fast, just lots of corners. :wink:

Okay lads.

My mate Costa is in (Phil and Clyde you both met him briefly at the speed detection night). Great bloke. I'm assuming there is room for him in one of the cars. He'll be at the Pelican Cafe at 8.00.

Good thinking - I wouldn't take a Targa out in the rain either - not unless I was wearing my oiled Japara with the hood up.

Boys, I'm still only a maybe for Saturday - still negotiating. (apparently family comes first, and I argue that KYJ 911 is family)
