      It's probably worth noting that these lights (any of these old lights) aren't really electroplated in the true sense... they're not chromed. The process is a vacuum silvering layer and is different from electroplating; and I'm not sure anyone actually does this in Australia. I have my car's original H1s and decided to refinish them by having the reflector chromed (without appreciating the difference at the time). They look 'okay' but clearly not factory and the light produced has a yellow tinge. I'm actually far more satisfied with the H4s that are in the car now - the light is superior and only us boffins recognise the difference

      But I'm with you Richard, I just like the hot-rod look
