John, they're not going to look any cooler wired up

Cam, porscheitis is the desease and hoodlights is but one of its symptoms along with wheels, steeringwheels, seats, rallytimers, ally enginelids etc.etc...

as far as my car is concerned no progress, to busy with house project...
it will be a while before I can start on it. Looks like this desease will be here for sometime.....hope they don't find a cure, who wants to be cured....not me

I've read your post again John and saw the picture of Freemans car you were trying to emulate (nice choice)

Still looks to me like you have them further back than Freemans based on the position in relation to the hood badge.

Damm wish I had your skills in painting as I want mine to be tangerine not black

Okay, I've taken a few more photos for prosperity... I'm still very comfortable with where they are - though I agree they're not precisely where Freeman's are.

          John,

They look excellent from that angle probably where I imagined mine might finish up those other photos sure don't look like they are in that spot.

Glad you didn't drop the camera in the aerial shot!!!

Look good Alex and pretty similar to Johns positioning from the side on shot

                    Alex

Nice. I think I might be going to do some light hunting.... Is this how a fetish starts ??

Is the yellow one a car you still have, I don't remember it as part of my whirl wind inspection of your prestigious establishment in sunny Frankston ??

OK after removing mine from the hood and repositioning I discovered

                      1. Lens cracked on Thredbo drive

                      2. Chrome rims pitted quite badly need re chroming

                      3. Light missing correct attaching components

                      4. Bodies OK but not perfect

After calculating the price of replacing the bits and refurbing chrome I decided it was cheaper to buy some of the same lights that John and Cam bought and then sell mine on E bay

I contacted the seller and he just happened to have 1 more set which are now mine ( My guess is he has hundreds of sets just feeeding them in slowly they had buy it now originally but not any more.)

OH yeah, how much to fix the old holes in the hood as I also shifted the tie downs to there correct position much further apart than they had been.

sorry guys, forgot that I had put those pics on this thread so I have no been following for a few days!

Yes the car is still in our establishment! Dad had it at Sandown historics and PI Historics just gone. The colour was a special colour ordered by Peter Gregg. It is very similar to the colour of Mark Johnson's ST but a little lighter.

The lights are placed so that the groves on the bonnet line up with the centre of the lights (it is a visual thing of Fung Sh*t it looks good!).

The car is on the website at www.porscheclassics.com.au under Webster Collection. Pretty cool car with lots of great history regarding Brumos and Peter Gregg.

Clyde, look at the can of worms you have opened! Ah well! All good fun!
