    Auction results

I attended the Shannons Motor Show auction today - big crowd !

results of the Porsches in the auction:

Lot 4: 1975 911S coupe. Sold for $20,000 (no reserve)

Lot 17: 1973 911T targa (Sporto) Passed in at $54000 (reserve $55000), only 3-4 bidders who all pulled up pretty quickly after a fast start.

Lot 37: 1982 Porsche 930 Turbo Passed in at $54000. (reserve probably $55 or $56K)

I didn't stay for the 356. Will be interesting to see if the 73 Targa now goes onto the classified market. I know the owner wants $50K min and shannons would have taken $5K commission PLUS there was a buyer Admin fee of $1000.

$54,000 I think that was a good figure. Its a T, CIS, sporto and targa so three strikes against it on the other hand very original, Aussie delivery and a history all great selling points.

I have done a quick calculation makes mine worth $90,000 -$100,000 I reckon.

Very succinct analysis Clyde.... spot on...

The Green car is lovely though... I had a look when I was working on the show last week.... and spied Eric Bana checking it over... Didn't want to bother him but he appeared keen...

My spies tell me RA291's sister car has sold BTW. For what I don't know.

Eric was only interested in the shade of green - it matched his colour in the Incredible Hulk.
