Depending on the tread pattern 'R's can also be a pain in the wet. Haven't got around to replacing the front's on mine yet (which I have been advised are too worn) but I wouldn't have got more than 6000kms out of them.
As Jappy mentioned, for mine the biggest pain is the noise they make.

usually try to run at about 32 psi front and back.
really, the only time the tyres get pushed is on the thredbo trip or swimming.
oh, and i usually wait for the car to warm up before pushing
probably getting a little off topic here - but i suspect you're not really getting them hot enough to really work, so you won't see a big transition from cold grip levels to hot grip levels. i assume you're running 32 psi cold - which is about 6 or 7 psi too high. you should aim for about 33/34 psi when they are hot.
My steelies are back at the powder coaters now, should be ready on Monday, sorry Matt, I cant remember the silver I chose, I'll check when they are ready.
I also have a set of deep sixes, that should be ready soon (week or two). They are at Harvey Weidman's in the US. They will be finished in the factory style.
