Electrical issue was the partsklassic CDI unit...the third one of these I have had fail, 2 in the ST and one in my E

I suggest to people DO NOT BUY a CDI unit from partsklassic...there customer service follow up is as poor as their product

    Car all good again

I’ve had them in both cars for about 5 years without issue

Craig did you notice anything much in performance benefits from the CR CDI?

                Hi Cam,
Yes, in both the road car and the race car.
Multiple reasons why but mainly from my undestanding due to the multi sparking of the units from 0 rpm to 10000 rpm and the better electronics in the box ?
In the 2.4 seemed to settle a lot of the inconsistencies through the rev range that I had put down to the MFI being 45 year old.
In the race car there was measurable gains across the rev range and it pulls like a train to the rev limiter at 7950 ... had been running MSD, different car with the CR CDI.
Most of the Group S guys run them, really beautifully engineered piece of kit

Glad to hear the good stories on these; they've been on my to-do list for the RSR rep.

Following some feedback I decided to add 18mm spacers to the front wheels to fill out the guard more and 7mm to the rear to make it look more like factory also.

I do think it looks better and more like the ones delivered from the factory which after all was the brief for the build the white car being our template

I tried today to replicate same shot angle for comparasin purposes, I got close, will keep trying.

Think I may need a bigger spacer yet though like 25mm

Looking good - the front may need a bigger spacer - if you are trying to exactly replicate homologation picture.
