First ever time to South Africa and first drive of a 2.7mfi, quite the day. Also spent time with Tim Abbot at his garage. Tim built the car for Dutchmann and is a legend in these parts.

I've never really introduced myself. So here goes....

Bought my 993 4 years ago as my Mother-in-law was dying of cancer. I thought "no time to waste" waiting for the right time as our time here i limited.

I was always on the hunt for a longhood, but the 993 seemed so much more usable. Well, it did not quench that thirst, so I then started my hunt for a good longhood. I had a few specifics. I wanted a 72 and it had to be either Viper Green or Tangerine. And it had to be original. It took me 18 months to find, but I bought it sight-unseen from Idaho and sent the full payment that night. Spent the next 3 months thinking WTF had I done until the car arrived at DHM. It's a cracker of a car.

                          So my acquisitions were done.

Then along came an Auction site which listed a lovely little 356 B Super 90 ex historic race car. I had absolutely no need for it, nor had I thought about buying it......but 7 days later I sent the full funds to the USA and waited another 4 months with the WTF feeling again. Thankfully it turned up just as expected. All I've done is remove the cage, Australian-ise it and put it on historic reg.

And the 993 is about to go on the market.........it's a rebuilt engine tipper.
                          And here they are.

Nice stable Chris. Why have 1 when you can have 3. By the by I have a yellow 72T ex UK.

Some great cars there, Chris. And you can't beat a tangarine longhood - looks awesome.

                                Nice cars Chris.
Would be great to see you more involved over here.

Could it be the moronic flavour of PFA lately that persuades you to bring your valuable contributions over to 901?
