    Someone as anal as I!!!!!!

These are for a fellow member who wants to get the correct allen key screws and nut for his engine grille for a 69. Won't tell you who it is though.

What you need are 6 x M5 x 12mm round head screws (allen key style)
6 rubber washers to fit iunder the grille between it and the body and 6 x M5 lock nuts (cycolac nuts)

and an allen key and 6mm socket I think does the job.

The 12mm is the length of the thread, head depth is 3mm and I am certain these are original (match parts book anyway and markings look original).

Should be able to locate easily if they aren't there allready.

    LOL

Been called many things today – mainly by my wife (with 2 daughters I can only afford the one) – but that ain’t one of them.

Thanks for all your trouble Clyde that’s fantastic. I’ve got some of those in stainless that are nearly identical which I’ll pair up with nyloc nuts.

        Clyde & Paul,

just so you dont order the wrong screws, they call those "socket head capscrews".

I was at the bolt place today buying a whole lot of them for seat kits and you have to use the correct name or get the wrong fasteners !

            Paul,

that was always one of the original goals for the forum and I am glad to see it being accomplished. There is a wealth of knowledge out there amongst members and its great to see many of them contributing to help new members get the answers they need in working on and restoring their cars.
