I had the carbs cleaned with a hydro blaster. They came up a treat.
I also found a source for Alodine if anyone needs any in the future. I went without it as I was happy with hydro cleaning.

      Thanks

      Jim

        Super nice.
I have an engine case that would benefit from that process.

This is the guy I used.

Excellent workmanship. He will get all my work in the future.

Except for Magnesium. That turns black. Reaction with water.

          Thanks

          Jim

How are the carbs running now Jim? It must be great to have them installed and the car ready to drive!

They look great.......did you have to do the throttle shafts?

Yes Tony. Standard Teflon bushes so too speak. I might source a thicker Teflon bush for next time. Or make up some bronze bushes and do it right.

Throttle shafts were in spec. Old carbs are a lot of work. I can see why PMO or ITB are the go.

I may have to go that route myself, as I think I'm still getting some air from somewhere.
