    yes the silver coils are crap - you never know when they will fail.

    I know of one that was brand new at the start of a Targa event, and failed on the line of one of the last stages.... with the car in contention.....Sadly they didn't carry a spare coil, but they do now!

    The Parts Klassik cdi box and coil are great - cant speak highly enough of them ... and they appear original even though the internals of the cdi box are modern (not looking like a year 8 science experiment like the old original cdi boxes do).

    I now don't carry multiple cdi boxes and coils for spares on a long trip now.
