The Marchal alternator in the 3.0 in my 74 has spat a bearing. When I pulled it I discovered multiple cracks in the (930.106.101.0R) housing. I have a "spare" Motorola alternator in a (901.106.101.5R) housing from the 71.
Hoping for help with these questions please:
- are cracks in the housing terminal or "par for the course"?
- can I direct swap the Motorola alternator in 901 housing for the Marchal in 930 housing?
