Vimal, I had suggested earlier T & D and the OPC, both of which are quite close to the place where you car is, I believe.

I would ask them to check for structural integrity and rust and the leak sources, you have referred to, quite quickly.

    T&D is http://tdautomotive.com.au

The OPC is close by and are reliable also. http://www.porschecentrebrisbane.com.au

    I had mine done there.

Don Munro at DHM is also very good but on the other side of town. But only 30 mins away.

DHM Auto Brisbane. Don Munro, Porsche Specialist Mechanic & his team of trained technicians lead the way in Quality Porsche Service, Repairs & Restorations.

Final alternative (not as good as a professional inspection), is to get one of the Brisbane members to have a look at the car, on a hoist, at the Old Timers this weekend. John might be able to do it, as he says. Alternatively, I am down in Brisbane this weekend and could have a look on Saturday if that suited anyone.

All - thank you for the advice and suggestions - these were all really appreciated. I have decided not to go ahead after a lot of thinking. Engine rebuild and potential rust being the main concerns. I will be buying another early 911 as a project though and will update in due course. I'd like to stay on the forum even though I'm a few thousand miles away !
