    Lisa / Tom,

I see a love of 908 Spyders creeping in here....

Love those Martini 908/3's. Best did a great series of them 10 years ago. And they are cheap ... I bought a 908/2 Spyder for $25 last week. To add to the other 12 including the 908/2 used in the filming of LeMans (it has a big bulge in the nose where the cinema camera went).

So Type in Best and Porsche + 1/43 and see what comes up. Happy hunting, and I hope I don't end up in bidding wars with you!

    Regards,

    JR

I need to extend my model cabinet

Has anybody been buying the Spark resin models? Particularly the 911R's/ ST's>

I've bought several recently off ebay:
      TDF winner 69 (white #181)
TDF winner 70 (yellow with red)
962 Daytona winner 1985 (Valvoline livery)
962 Daytona winner 1986 (Lowenbrau livery)
962 Daytona winner 1989 (Miller livery)
      962 LeMans winner 1986
      962 LeMans winner 1987
      Ruf CTR Yellowbird

They're lovely models and reasonably priced... if you're interested Biante models in WA have stock, or try Mark Griffin in Sydney (Model Cars Too). Kyosho are also doing a 911R road version... which any self respecting early 911 owner should add to their collection.

I've always wondered if a model car fetish ends up being that you've spent as much on them as you could have done getting some serious work done on yr car ? I have been tempted and have a few in my office at work but cant say I have one of every colour.

I've got a Scaletrix setup that could have paid for a gearbox rebuild

The 1/32 Porsches available from Fly for the track are sensational...

Found this old topic and figured I could add my recent acquisition here:
A 1:18 scale model of the famous #8 RSR that won the Targa Florio. It is by GT Spirit and is surprisingly detailed and correct.
A few mistakes, but only a nerd like me or Hugh maybe (sorry Hugh - but you know what I mean, right?) would spot them

                      can just see it now...

wandering through a furniture shop, when out of the corner of his eye he spies something curious... something he can't quite put his finger on at first... but yes, it must be... it's a chair shaped like a ducktail!!!

so, assuming that's the case... what other aspects of 901 has crept into his OCD life?!?

                        Wait there's more

Patrick I see it now but it was purely a fluke. It was a self bought Xmas present to me... and it arrived 2 days before Christmas... hence the wrapping paper on the dining room table.

I had this turn up around Christmas time as well... Not had time to look at it really yet. But it all screws together and is a great 1:4 model of an early 2 litre engine when built All I have to do is find time to do that
