Have spent a lot of isolation time on my 73 sorting and detailing, I can honestly say that I think my car fitment and detailing are good, but your gold car is next level. I'm using your photos to revise (correct) some of my details. Your 73 is a map to better results for me > thank you.

Just don’t ask for pictures of the inside until I get that bit sorted

I had thought I may finish up painting this car but after lots of elbow grease I think it is very very acceptable. The front right guard has been repainted since it's full repaint in the late 90's and in certain lights you can see the colour match is not perfect so that guard might be in for a repaint.

The colour really changes from full sun to shade.

As a full repaint is not necessary I can focus on other parts of the car instead, like the new carpet set from Autobahn Interiors in the USA. I helped Tony perfect his RHD carpet kits with the help of original carpets from Douglas Seeto from his great 73E. We sent Doug's carpets to Tony to create pattern from them. He charges $1100 USD plus shipping for the correct deluxe haargan salt and pepper with pimple baking for the mats, as per original.

Clyde - make sure that the Autobahn guys make your passenger footwell carpet the correct length! They said they used your templates for my carpets but ended up making it about 20cm too short, which was super irritating.

Thanks Scott, I didn’t make them templates but sent them original carpets to make their own templates....at least I think I did.

Are you talking floor mat or the RHS pocket piece?

i know 2 people who have bought RHD kits from Tony and were happy and had no issues.

Looks outstanding - a set of CN36's would top it off now....

They transform an early 911 I reckon....

Its funny how the wheel turns - I remember when 50 series P7's and A008's were all the rage - now we look at a car and say - gee it'd be perfect with a set of 70 series cn36's on it now!

Interior tidy up time now....carpet is on the agenda for sure most of the rest is original and in good condition. 2020-05-31 17.20.55.jpg

Anyone got some decent solid front pockets to sell me, these have big speakers in them and I hate it!!!

Replaced the painted rubber door stops with some new ones from Porsche
