I also tackled what I perceived was a poor fitting licence plate panel that had too many drilled holes for my liking.

Turned out car had had a tap on the LHS rear overrider which did some minor damage to the bracket on the LHS rear bumper and hence why the licence panel was not fitting properly

New panel, Dave worked his magic on the bumper bracket and Paul from Rankins Panels got the paint to match so that no one would know...pretty hard to do with metallic gold I am told.

New over riders and rubber pads from Porsche Classic and walah!!

I see Sheridan, Wyoming ... and I thought it was just the price that was stupid

I had a set of the Lakewell pockets on the Targa which I thought were excellent for repro, same as the genuine Porsche ?

Car was running like a dog and had to tow it from Dave's back to Cairns for rectification. It was discovered one the MFI rods had come loose and was the wrong length sorted that out now running beautifully again if not better than before!!!

Work continues on the back end, some new rubbers on the license panel and the old decals removed ready for some new Canford Classics decals and also one for the engine strap.

As the car is back in my factory again next up might pull the front suspension off and get in in the same shape as the rear suspension...much easier than doing the rear, even I can cope with doing that on my own so long as the ball joint pins come out OK and the steering rack does likewise.

                  HI Clyde,
When you 'refreshed' the engine, who did the fan and housing ? I see that Mark Mothshegan has retired. Also did the shroud need re finishing ? how did you do that ?
                  Thanks

Bought a new shroud from Series900.com in USA, only way to go in my opinion, had the fan parts done locally and a club member helped me source some correct size aircraft alloy rivets and Dave developed a jig to ensure they bedded correctly

A bit of trial and error but end result was very close to Mark's results

Now all finished decals, plugs in top of overiders and side fuse cover with wing nuts back in place.

Ceramic finish on fan and outer done by one source, plating done by another, rivets supplied by another, all put together by another hence the expense involved.

Think it cost me about $600 all up and a whole lot quicker than Mark was and given 2 way shipping and exchange cheaper too I think
