    Wiring question rear fuse panel

Does anyone know what the green/yellow wire in slot 1 (bottom right) is for? According to the schematics I have there's nothing there, but the fuse descriptions indicate sporto - which mine isn't and never was. I haven't chased it through the loom yet as hopefully someone will know..

As an aside what are the fuse specs for each of these 3 fuses? I've read a few conflicting docs regarding '70T's.

My Oz 72 has fuse 1 at the top and it is the fuse for the sporto control solenoid. (The blue/yellow wire.) In the wiring diagrams that I have fuse 1 is at the top. Has someone has turned your fuse block upside down?

I did wonder about the orientation... if you have a photo I'd appreciate it Bill.

Maybe that wire is blue/yellow... I've got a bit of mild colour determination disorder.. guess I need to trace it further..

CoA would have picked that up... it's matching numbers in that regard. 5-speed manual for sure.

Just found this comment on ESR - so maybe upside down is right...

Fuse ratings for 1970-73 models, fuse box 3, are:

              Fuse 1: 5A (Yellow).
              Fuse 2: 8A (White). Red/white wire
Fuse 3: 25A (Blue). Rear window defogger. Thick red to red/black wires.

Please note, that the fuse box is normally installed upside down. (It looks like yours is, too). Check the fuse numbers on the fuse block. Numbers are printed on the box itself behind/under the fuse.

I just happen to have a panel cover from a USA 73.5 and it has embossed fuse details showing fuse 1 at the bottom... Maybe mine is the wrong way up?

My 72's cover is missing it's original paper diagram and is not embossed.

I have never seen a paper diagram on the inside of the black plastic fuse cover for the engine bay only on the fuse box in the luggage area. Love to see a pic of that if it exists.

Fairly sure it is upside down Gavin. And definitely never a sporto

Interesting Scott.. I’ve since seen quite a few pics of others that are upside down as well (1 at the bottom)..

Also given 2 of the line connectors (1 and 2) are bussed that means if you flip it the bussed connectors would be on the load side which doesn’t make sense to me…

Actually, in retrospect, I take that back. I was thinking of something else on the car. I’ll put my thinking cap back on.
