    993 to 901

Thought I'd start a new thread to document the journey of returning my car from a 993 bodied turbo monster back to normally aspirated 901.
    Here's the starting point:

Half a day of sweating and grazed knuckles and we are back to a bare chassis.

          Wow, that is fast!
I have spend over 20 hours to just get halfway!
Looking forward to see the updates.

You're definitely a much braver man than me. All I can see are hundreds of hours behind a welding mask!

There's really not much to do. New rear quarters and filling up some holes.
It's a race car so trying to keep it light.
Must be the only 901 resto-mod I've ever seen with no rust!

I'm going to keep it as a race car for now. Gets it half way back to being a road car and can be done relatively quickly.
I like the safety aspect of having a full cage and fuel cell for track work.

                            Matt,

I'm keeping the Motec and will probably run Jevney throttle bodies.
                            Should go pretty well.
Will have about 200 less HP than currently but weigh 80kg less.

On the way to the panel shop.

Should look a lot different next time I get to see it.
Lots of holes to fill in.
