Motor is now all back together with clutch fitted. Just waiting for gearbox with new seals.

Just chasing rubber seals for all light assemblies and the car should be substantially back in one piece very soon.

Hi Chris, thanks for the comments on the engine. Its come up looking pretty good although we didnt do a rebuild on it as it was running pretty good when we pulled it out. Hopefuly we resolved any oil leaks with various new seals etc.

We havent finished the interior/dash yet but will post some pics once its done. Hoping to move it around to the trimmers next week for the door and rear panels to be trimmed as well as new carpet to get fitted.

Engine now back in car and running OK.

Have had the front bar, rear bumpers and rear panel painted in light yellow by a paint touch-up guy and these have cleaned up very well. Also painting the front slam panel as it was scratched and beat-up looking.

Yeah, I know John, should've painted it Aubergine.

The car rolled out of the workshop today under its own steam for a much needed wash.

We still dont have the interior fitted but everything else is working OK and we are itching to drive it.

It really has come up looking neat and clean and am looking forward to a drive in it soon, maybe down the coast with the roof off.

Nice work Phil. I think its a very cool looking car.
Still prefer Aubergine but understand your reasons for leaving yellow.
What seats are you putting in?
                              Cheers
