      People using Carsales take note:
That is how to sell a car, write a good description and include plenty of wide & detailed images!

      Good advert Phil.
Hope it sells quickly for you.

        Thanks for the compliment Silver.

I wrote the description separately and cut and pasted it into teh ad. You are allowed 4000 letters. My description (unedited) was 3999. Good guess.

I hope the Photo bucket link works too as it shows every aspect of the car when it was 'bare'. Anyone worried about rust can see for themselves how solid it is.

GLWS Phil, clearly a lot of effort has gone into it.

Hummm, I'm looking at yachts at the moment, otherwise I'd be all over this, like a fat kid on a cup cake.

And I'm a little bit of a RHD (origional) snob

                  Phil,

Sorry, I'm still on UAE time, had to have a wee nap.

I've seen a photo that you posted back awhile ago of your other mistress.

We used to own a Beneteau 41, until a change in government forced the sale. We had the boat working towards our retirment. (Krudd )

I made the mistake of hiring a 40' Lagoon Catamaran to sale around the Greek Islands, a couple of years ago, and am now paying for that mistake.

So in simple terms, ( we ) have been looking at Catamarans.

The scarey thing is that the minister for war and finance, is under the opinion that I can build one, after recently looking at a Fusion 40 kit being built.

                    Hi Tony,

a guy on our marina arm is selling his almost new Lagoon 38. Asking $399K and dont know if this is a deal or not. But its hardly been used.

                    Its on boatsales.

                    regds, Phil

I work for Virgin, not QF, so no movie star wages for me

The Lagoon 38 is a lovely boat, with the usual Beneteau build quality.

That's about what he paid for it, depending on what was optioned/added.

                      Is this it?

Never thought I'd see the words 'Beneteau' and 'build quality' mentioned in a positive context in the same sentence.

I found the build to be good, but the finish to be wanting.

We only owned our vessel for 3 years, and it was purchased new.

There were a few "discussions" regarding the level of maintenance the boat was receiving, but most things that went wrong could be put down to hirers.

                          Do tell your experiences Paul.

There's a reasonably well know saying that goes along the lines of 'anything but a 'B' boat' referring to Beny's and Bav's. I've done a couple of deliveries of both from Sydney and regardless of preparation they've been 'interesting' trips. Issue is that they're designed to be floating caravans for the Med, not deal with any real sea conditions. Big flat butts, glued on decks and fittings mounted into aluminium strips. I once moored a 42 ft Beny single handed on a finger @ Queenscliff using a slip line and the pressure of only the tide was enough to tear out the midships cleat.

We had a B36 when we lived in Rochester NY near the lake. It was a good boat in those rather (mostly) benign conditions. Thought of getting one back here but the almost triple the price with taxes and gouging turned me off. Are they cheaper now?
