I'm going to pike on this one - unless my car is on the road in time, I'll wait until the next run to drive it.

The maps (3) have been prepared and will be handed out on the morning at Maccas - enhanced Melway maps - really easy to follow.
The route running sheet will be finalised this weekend and emailed to all members via Clyde early next week. It'll be either in MSExcel or MSWord format, which I presume everyone can open - however if not don't despair, hard copies will be attached to the maps.
We have a couple of stops (to allow John H to catch up) so we all should pretty much stay 'in convoy' - which makes for good viewing by the public.
Please post any corrections or queries (esp meal orders)
Anyone else wishing to come - please decide now.Last edited by MrUpwey; 06-02-07, 09:44 PM.Peter Williams #049

LOL - as someone on the Early S board, the cheapest way to get some power to weight advantage, is to join Jenny Craig and get the driver to lose some weight! ... sadly Brett, you will have to resort to expensive lightweight heater knobs, gearshift knobs, gauges, and some of that new lightweight air to improve your power to weight, as there is nothing of you (I mean that in a nice way mate!!!)Alex Webster

Hey there Peter! Confirming I'm in and looking forward to it. I bags back of the bunch though - I still have memories of watching everyone disappearing into the distance last year on one of Alex's runs!
A note on the King lake climb too; cyclists love that road on the weekends and it's very narrow. They also get it wrong occasionally and will overshoot the center line when descending......

It's not an "Alex TYP Run" Craig, so no fear of getting left behind (apart from old man Hoey) - and as you correctly observe, there is a constant stream of sponsor emblazoned lycra clad cyslists between Kangaroo Ground and Kinglake - and the road is narrow, albeit a great drivers road - so we need to be a little careful along this section.
The 7 day forecast suggests about 28°C max on the 10th, so should be perfect in the morning.

To save Clyde the trouble of emailing to all members (although he will anyway) , I've attached the running sheet (.pdf file) for our run next Saturday.
I presume only members can open this file.
As previously stated, I'll be providing this sheet with attached maps on the morning.
Can the appropriate members confirm whether the "maybe's" (Mark Tierney, Phil Hearn and Jappy) are coming.
I'll be contacting the pub on Thursday to indicate 'roast numbers', however if a few more turn up on the day I'm sure they'll be adequately catered for..............from the left overs
...................I'm excited - I hope you are also. (sic) :p :p :pAttached FilesLast edited by MrUpwey; 06-02-07, 01:22 PM.Peter Williams #049
