Nup, Mikki's isn't the red one accounted for. So far we now know of four Oz '67 S carson for sure: The red one (A Hamilton's car covered in a mag back in '67), the blue one (which by the way was originally Irish Green) that's in Sydney; my white one and Mikki's brown one. Plus the existence of a '67S engine mentioned in an earlier post that decades ago came from a fifth car that has not resurfaced (believed to be but not confirmed 100% as an Oz car). Then Mikki's recent mention of yet another '67S engine that was in a Karmann Ghia ten years ago (the source of which is not yet clear). Clear as mud!

Is that the engine you had in the Karmann Ghia, Mikki? Its engine number makes it a quite late MY '67 S engine. So def not from the red car because we know it was delivered early. Not from yours, mine or the blue (originally Irish Green) one - because they've all still got original engines. Clearly not the same as the engine mentioned by 1st in his post the other day. So from a sixth car. You got any other info to help track it down to see whether or not it was an original Oz delivery? The plot thickens.
