Brings back memories of a few weekends ago when i rebuilt the webers on my 73, after the accelerator pumps decided to leak fuel all over a hot engine. Must have been my lucky day, no fires

Ever closer as the October 30 time clock is ticking

Yes I know it has heating, it was a concession I made as this will always be a street car in my possession and you know what winter is like in Melb without heat or defrosting.

Besides with headers, trumpets and no heating it is never going to pass pass a noise test so I opted for SSI with muffler and heating

Easily changed when the MFI motor is ready if so desired.

Clyde, what sort of horsepower loss with the SSI's over the near straight through system be?

                Comment

Darren from UK who has had both set ups on his 2.5 engine says dyno shows about 5% loss

Car is super light and I have no choice as it would not pass noise tests with headers and megaphones so all academic really

Car in waiting but we creep ever closer.

Twin CDI units and coils from Partsclassik...they also supplied all the necessary wiring.

Yes the board will be cleaned more before full installation and yes the dust from 3 years of sitting will also be removed from the engine bay

Another roadblock in the ST project solved thanks to Early S.

NOS oil filter console for 72 year model only and thermostat included.

Goes with my new oil tank and lines.

This car will be the ultimate Porsche in my opinion.

Will it be at Fed Square Clyde?

Or too much still to do?

                          Jr

Sadly too many roadblocks but it will be soon....maybe

Nearly 6 years on the car has finally left Classic Road and Track heading to the mechanics for an engine install.

Finished off door trims so the interior is definately all ready to go now. 2017-04-03 17.28.13.jpg2017-04-03 17.28.21.jpg2017-04-03 17.28.32.jpg2017-04-04 19.48.19.jpg
