    Nice Clyde.

I reckon there's enough 'perfect factory replicas' out there - build the car for you...

I have a brand new black sunroofless headliner I bought a little earlier this year but depending on the direction I go with the interior, I may be looking to swap for a white/ivory version. No rush obviously, but keep it in mind.

I see someone has a correct R hood on the EarlyS... Is that the same balsa/glass unit you're looking for?

Clyde where are the alu door skins from?

What constitues an MFI race pump? I thought the differences in them were mainly space cam related?

        Cam

Classic Road and Track are making the aluminium door skins attaching with the correct large head rivets to the steel frame...will look perfect.

I can't tell you completely about the pump except that I know it has has an oil filler at the front under the big red cap (see pic of a 2.3 ST MFI engine) and this does not exist on normal pumps.

          John,

I doubt there are too many pactory perfect replicas at all given the things you need to locate...pump supprot bracket, grenade filter, pump, 2R throttle bodies but I won't be going down that path anyway

I am still not 100% sure about the headliner some say should be felt some say STD black headliner like you have but wiith nothing behind it.

If it turns out that I go black factory liner I will buy yours for sure

The balsa fibreglass hood is under control but thanks for the heads up.

            Hi Clyde,
Those parts prices are insane! Edmond Harris can wait around till someone is happy to pay those prices I guess...The front bumper on the green car, is it too far gone? If not I would buy it if you were selling it, prefer the stock front on a 2.2 T plus mine will never be fast enough to warant the S spoiler I currently have .The S spoiler I have is in excellent nick, maybe we could do a trade of sorts...
            Also, how was todays run?
            Cheers

              Clyde,

you should have asked edmund Harris if he still had this original 2.5 ST engine for sale which was displayed at Essen in 2008. Think he wanted 120,000 eur. for it

It does have the correct fuel pump though.....

Talk to Mark/Dave at Classic Road and Track I don't own the bits coming off the car for the bits I am putting on.

Prior to me buying in to the project the car has been completely stripped by Classic Road and Track

Obvioulsy there are some rust issues in this car

Here are some pics where Dave has removed the rear parcel shelf and rear seat area and replaced the parcel shelf and re installed that whole area.

The front/nose has also been removed and replaced with a new piece. Front guards not needed neither is front or rear bar so any rust issues there are not my problem.

and these bring it up to date start full on in a couple of weeks time stripping the shell completely to see what else we can find.

A patch was needed to the rear of the LHS door and another in the luggage bay..not yet complete.

Rear guards fitted but final shapeing not yet done and loose fitting of front guards and bumper

they can shape steel down there. why not aluminum doors like the yellow car?! would save at least 1.75kgs....

can you talk to Dave about that flag on his western wall?

Jeff, I believe Dave will build alum door skins for this project as he did for the yellow ST.

Re the flag, it doesnt have the " F" word on it. Actually the prancing black horse is a symbol relating to the Stuttgart area and is also used on the Porsche crest.
