Update time lots of manual work has been done and then a final clean up by blasting the body where it was expected some holes would appear remarkably none have so now we have a nice clean shell as the base and work can continue.

I found it interesting that you left the rear suspension on when you sent the tub off for blasting, was there reason for this?
Just asking as I went to great pains to protect the internal splines and get the tube blasted, and a nice coat of epoxy in there, I didn't have any rust issues but wanted to make sure.
I'm sure you'd know as this isn't exactly your first resto, is there a grommet or sleeve that goes around the main harness where exits the body at the rear wall?

Progress....
Trial fitting of 110 litre tank not NOS but made from original mould and has 11/71 date stamp...expensive!!!
Front strut support in place, rear strut supports ready for welding alloy door skins on the way
Welding up holes on rear alloy deck lid fixing drains in floor so no water comes in as not having underbody deadner at all.Clyde Boyer
