Hey Clyde,
the 85L RS fuel tank had a bracket to protect it. Seeing your tank is a vulnerable plastic 110L tank, where they protected at all?
Another question, did the ST have the dual master cylinder brake pedal or not? Because the RSR had one, so I'll need one, but i was wondering where you sourced one if you did.

It is standard but I had the block and threads for the distribtor clamp removed and finished in dark mag look just like the correct 225mm fans on the ST.
I actually have a small fan shroud reproduction from EB racing but haven't had the fan blades cut down to suit yet.Clyde Boyer

Most 72ST factory cars were built to rally it was the privateers who more developed the race cars
The 85 litre tank only had a small semi circle to prevent damage to the fittings and my car will have than but I am sure rally cars had steel tanks and full skid plates covering the tank
The 110 litre tank does not hang as low as the 85 litre one surprisingly
I don't believe the 72ST had dual break master cylinders.Clyde Boyer

I have had a further setback
We did have the car running and were testing for oil leaks etc when it was noticed that the very expensive but wonderful replica of the cartridge oil filter used on ST cars instead of the back of engine oil cooler (they had oil cooling from up front) was leaking
So out with the engine and sent the magnesium case back to the UK supplier and we await a new one or repaired old one
It had a hairline crack.

That's exactly the problem Clyde; no-one may notice, but you'll know and it will nag and bother you forever.
Although I absolutely love the Braid Fuchs replica's i bought for my RSR project, and I'm not able and willing to spend $20K on originals, it continues to bother me that they visibly differ.
First world problems eh?

Yes and I forgot to mention the 800 pounds for the titanium blocking valve used in the engine in conjunction with the filter.
It is 100% hidden under the cover so could have been made of anything but the originals were titanium so titanium it isClyde Boyer
