Delivered by the OPC to the house at the Coast - until a bit of warranty work on my 997 is done ... They will bring my car back in few days.

My wife loves it! PDK transmission (and aural stimulation via some clever electronics).

I could easily become a PDK convert, especially if I lived in a city. Standard mode is average, but Sports mode turns that 2.7 into an angry little beast with great sound. Very good build quality as well and the handling is ahead of the 911, at my speeds.

I discovered that in Sport mode in my new CLA250, you get that bark the A45 AMG's give under hard acceleration. Perhaps Porsche have the same gadget in the exhaust that Benz must have installed cause I cant get it to sound like this even under hard acceleration in E mode.

That seems right Phil. As when I revved it in Park there was no 'bark' at all. In Sports mode and manual shift it is a hoot. An A45 was in the top 10 at the Noosa Hill Climb last year, in auto.

Typically they throw some extra fuel in after combustion for that bark. All electronic and just for show. VW and Audi do the same thing...who cares about emissions in sports mode right?
