Would this also suit repainting the transmission linkage cover ? Mine is missing paint in a lot of spots

I've used the VHT wrinkle finish a lot on projects. I like to use it on Porsche valve covers - a little Ferrari-esque, but cool.
It is nothing like the Recaro finish. The closest people seem to have gotten is by using a shutz gun type arrangement (like the underbody) but really dialing in the viscosity and air pressure with lots of trial and error. You still then have to top it with a satin black finish. I think Eric Lindner did a write up on a process he uses on ESR some years ago.John Forcier

Yes John, it was the Ferrari rocker cover finish I was thinking of. Its probably too course a finish for the seat brackets though. I found the old can of VHT paint in the garage today after reading this thread.sigpicPhil Lack

So getting back on track the engine went in today, that is the rebuilt, matching numbers engine with rebuilt throttle bodies went in today to replace the 2.7 Carrera motor it came with,
