Phil tells me he's trying to get my car ready by Saturday - if it's ready I'll be there. If not, I'll wait till the next run. This one looks like a good one.

        Dear Mr Upwey,
as of 2.45 Tuesday 6th Feb. I, Jappy, are a definate starter. Assuming the 400km between here & there are uneventual & domestic bliss/peace remains!!
Your organisation is amazing, although not surprising.

Erwin, that's great news. Should be a good run to ease the engine back into service!

After Peter's and Andrew V's efforts at the 6 hour, his efficiency and organisation skills should already be widely known and recognised by those involved!! Well done Peter.... again!

Ahem..... Alex you forgot to mention mine and Rich's sterling and unquestionable dedication to duty at the 6 hr.
I can see how this was an oversight as both myself and Rich(to a lesser degree) are team players and dont want to hog the lime light.

Just dont let it happen again.

                    Brett,
whilst Rich was subjected to petrol fumes all weekend and that was much appreciated by all involved, your dedication to the cause is still in question.

Oops, now I remember, you kept us upto date in current affairs via "The Age"!!

                    See you Saturday.

I've updated the list of acceptances - see first post on page 6.

Although I'm (humbly) flattered by the (well deserved) praise - I'll only consider this run a success if everyone
                          a) has a good time
                          b) makes it each destination point unscathed and on time
                          c) enjoys what I have been promised is a great lunch
                          d) returns home safely

So it's really now in the hands of the following people
                          1. Phil Hearn - to get Irwins car on the road by Saturday so that he has no excuse not to come.
2, The lycra lunatics - may they keep out of our path
                          2. The chef at 'The Reefton Hotel'
                          3. All of you who will be coming.

So from now on it's out of my hands..........good luck

Brett, Mr Upwey beat me to the punch by posting the pic of you reading the paper. At least the overalls and pink wrist band can be used for the next Mardi Gras event that you and Chrissi attend!!
I am sorry for the indiscretion on your and Rich's part either way.... as we need you at Phillip Island in a few weeks!!!!!
