Guys, I have been looking at 993's for a while and they are getting more affordable. After driving a few, I realised they are great as a daily car with a superb engine and gearbox. Way easier to drive daily than a 901 car.
there are some good buys around now and anyone with an Aussie delivered 72 or 73 S could easily trade one for a great '97 993 Twin turbo.
I doubt I will go beyond the air cooled cars as these represent the pinnalce of Porsche air cooled technology to me. theres no doubt the rear suspension on teh 993's is fantastic. My cars has an optional LSD as well and I just beginning to explore what this means to performance and handling.
I guess I am going thru a progession of models at present, but I did skip the 964. It never appealed due to body shape. Too boxy for me. Although a 964RS could convince me.
Still, I am hanging onto the 72E as my all time keeper.
Will bring the 993 along on the next run, whenever that is.
