Sounds like you should have consulted the forum first before investing in the Comfort Seat purchase ex USA. As John F. says. a change of seats is quite an acceptable option when restoring an early 911 because the original seats just dont give any support during spirited driving - and isnt that the reason you bought the car in the first place ?
I am back at work from 12 Jan onwards if you want to call on by my warehouse and check out some seats.

Both my cars have comfort seats and they are quite comfortable. Although i mainly use my car for the weekend kids sports activities and the odd long drive. It all depends on what your usage is, if you're planning on regular spirited drives I recommend Phils seats.
I have a pair of recently restored comfort seats by Tony Garcia that I haven't installed yet, you are more than welcome to drop past and have a look at what a padded comfort seat feels like.

I have been cleaning and somewhat refurbishing a pair of nice 68 comfort seats I received from Matt. Both in VGC
I am not sure that I will use them, however, but they add to the originality picture. Using them would be less effective than the seats from Phil, and there are two safety issues involved.
First, there are no head restraints and send there is no latch on the LHD "drivers" side seat to stop the back rest folding forward. There was one on the passenger's side as standard. Another little quirk of the early cars. They do look nice, however ...
Well .. the original Kardex says, as Clyde astutely suggested, B&W pepita. Given that it is a Burgundy car, a little red in there would look nice. So I am with Harry. But the lure of the MacDonald tartan was/is alluring as an insert. No Scots heritage Chris?
