Merv, believe it or not dark brown was not a common combination for our cars. I have recently found out that the 914 shared the same dark brown vinyl for 72-73, good for small repairs.

Great old pic, Clyde. The surrounding suburb looks bare compared to now (assuming it's your same house).

I would be very interested in seeing some of the samples you guys get. Like others I have had a great deal of trouble getting anything from Prostitch (9 months and counting!). I have some samples coming from Lakewell and will post them up when they arrive.

The pic is a couple 'standard' samples that my trimmer had. Plenty of room for improvement.

Took wheels off today to get them restored thought I might leave these on permanently

ahh teledials - takes me back to 1984/5 all over again. They look really cool

I wonder how many sets were discarded back in the day only to be replaced by Fuchs?

I suspect they will come back into fashion just as cookie cutters have.

Am I alone in really liking cookie cutters on early cars by the way? Or are there other discerning yet quirky enthusiasts out there?

I read recently that rally Porsches favour the cookies as they are stronger than Fuchs.

What a difference a pair of seats make.

These are the seats I bought from Tony Garcia, they had been restored in leather and houndstooth

The flash makes them look lighter than they really are....more of a medium brown colour than the light tan they appear to be in the pic

These seats will actually go in the Oxford Blue 73E as they are a more correct colour for that car but as I am driving the yellow one currently I thought I would wear them in a bit as the base is pretty firm and I am sitting up a bit like Jacky even though I have them on the lowest setting.

Here is what Tony sent me I have asked if he has any darker(chocolate browns) in leather/vinyl.

Top RHS is the leather on my seats next to it on the left is a almost perfect matching vinyl
