Why are people sending pumps overseas? I had Peter Bower (Sydney) rebuild mine on recommendation from Autohaus Hamilton, and he did a fantastic job. It's been 8 years and it's still running very well.

...and he was very reasonably priced.

Having got the E back from over 12 mths of mechanical fix ups it is finally time to button up the interior

I had purchased a 73 Becker Mexico and had it modified in the states to have bluetooth for music streaming from my i Phone

I also had a big hole in the bottom the glove box inner lining/box guess the lock died at some stage and they needed to get it open so replaced that too

The padded piece on the back of the glove box door was all warped and was hitting the dash as it opened plus the lock was broken so replaced them also

                    All installed and fixed now

Now to swap out the crappy fibreglass dash!!

The slow journey back to full health continues having had a very successful engine rebuild and MFI pump total overhaul the yellow machine is running very nicely again

The car was made into an RS look back in the late 70's and it is my preferred look anyway so when painting time comes it will stay the same. The rear bumpers are rusted out, common issue with 73 bumpers as they have a cavity that fills with dirt and water (bought new ones) and the rear centre panel needs replacing so got one of those too

The car has RS 7's on the rear and date matched 6's on the front they had never been restored and still haven't but I stripped the paint off and got Dave to dip them as per factory.

New centre caps and lug nuts complete that part of the equation

One of the pieces missing from my car was the suspension rack and fuel tank protection plate. As this car had an 85 litre tank from new and the original one was leaking it was replaced with a new one and I called on the great skills of David Belford to make me a RHD 85 litre tank version of the protection plate

It is the same as the STD tank version with an extra piece spot welded on the front. LHD are available but not RHD so Dave just modified a new LHD one to suit.

Next step taken today, out with the poor fitting repro, fibreglass dash and in with a NOS dash from 1985 speaker holes but no grille.

Good to see the production number still intact on the dash. Also good to see unfaded original paint in the windscreen channel certainly much brighter than the cars current colour.

Thanks to Dave we had it out and back in inside 3 hours one slight hiccup cost us half an hour.
