      Decided to look further

Remembering that the car ran very very strongly we decided to follow the MFI Check measure and Adjust manual to the letter of the law and did a compression/leak down test

To my horrow 2 cylinders were 40% down which lead to the following

Full rebaild, throttle bodies done and MFI pump in progress

No Kane Hearn, Spencr was in hiatus at the time the decison was made. Very impressed so far but the proof will be in the how the end product performs.

More than my share Paul, the Viper Green ST spent some time on the showroom at Porsche but now has the engine out again and we have a list of all the things needed for completion....one day

What was the problem with the motor when it was dismantled Clyde, just worn out and needing a rebuild, or something more sinister?

Or maybe I shouldn't be reminding you of the experience!?

Well 11 mths after going in for some minor cosmetic surgery and coming out with a triple by pass the yellow E is back home.

First drive today was good and looking forward to testing it somewhat at the Sth Gippsland run

It got a full dry ice clean up full engine, MFI pump and throttle body rebuild all to STD E specs

Kane has taken on the task of decoding the mysteries of the MFI pump, he bought a genuine Bosch machine and is studying furoiously
to get his head around it all. It will be great to have someone who knows what is what with these pumps right here in Australia.

Here are some finished pics, Kane did a great job.

looks excellent Clyde, Kane is going to be a very busy boy if he gets know as an MFI specialist, Mark Jung is months of waiting and Gus must be close to calling it a day.

Yes that is his aim for sure

He has watched a lot of You Tube videos and read the bible several times

He was learning on my pump, which turned out to be pretty good anyway and I am sure he will continue to expand his
knowledge base in search of the shills to check and then maybe rebuild where necessary too.
