I am a yellow car fan and think this one has a special tough edge. Good to see it sorted Clyde.

Well the injectors have all arrived back 4 /11 were not good at all too low a PSI when opening, dribbling or not a correct 45 deg spray pattern.

6 perfect ones have now been fitted but there is a problems...after the success of the dry ice blasting on the tangerine 72T I have let Kane loose on this car too and there is going to be a bit of fixing up at the front where the small accident occurred many many years ago.

Kane is stripping off all the crap that was sprayed on doing a little reshaping (read hittting with hammer) quite a bit of tidying up and then some wurth underbody and a lick of faded yellow paint to match the existing paint.

The bones of this car are still excellent though as the pics show.

It has had a new bonnet and 2 new guards all as a result of the accident I suspect, it has had a new front pan too but think that was done much later.

Should clean up very nicely and then we can see if the injectors working properly makes a 2017-04-11 10.34.16.jpg2017-04-11 10.35.06.jpg2017-04-11 10.34.33.jpg2017-04-11 10.35.56.jpg2017-04-11 10.35.49.jpg2017-04-11 10.35.38.jpg2017-04-11 10.34.46.jpg huge difference.

The areas just under both battery boxes are both a bit narly and where the metal needs a little help to get to its "normal shape" but as you can see no dreaded rust is evident

Noval approach to getting the front rubber to stay in place is that it has been pop riveted...must have run out of glue!!

So to finish the story on the fuel injectors here is a video of the good ones I got back after cleaning and testing

In all I sent 17 for testing and got 11 good ones back out of the bunch.

You Tube video showing perfect MFI form!!

                      To continue the story

Car was still only running at 99% had an annoying slight hesitation

Sent the distributor out for rebuilding...no better.

                      Decided to look further

Remembering that the car ran very very strongly we decided to follow the MFI Check measure and Adjust manual to the letter of the law and did a compression/leak down test

To my horrow 2 cylinders were 40% down which lead to the following

Full rebaild, throttle bodies done and MFI pump in progress
